Neshaminy 2015

The weather couldn’t have been better. The 14th fell in the ranks with the 6th New Hampshire. Both battles were the usual Neshaminy battles back and forth until one side takes enough hits to end the battle. Saturday’s skirmish in the woods prior to the battle was fun. The moment of the weekend though was when the 14th marched over (civilians included) to the Union headquarters to present General Tony Daniels with a Certificate of Appreciation and a bottle of Irish whiskey to celebrate his retirement from the hobby.  Tony was absolutely surprised and was lost for words. He shook everyone’s hand and thanked the 14th for their kindness.  I have known Tony for over 20 years and the hobby is losing one of its best.
